Kace SMA - Patching Smart Labels losing patches after upgrade (4322915)

After upgrading from SMA version 11.1 to version 12.0 Patching smart labels fail to load patches and as a result the patch schedule containing these labels may be marked completed without detecting any patches.

This issue has been identified as a defect and is currently being investigated under defect ID: K1-32340.

While the issue is investigated the following workaround is suggested:

• Navigate to Security › Patch Management › Patch Catalog
• Click on "Advanced search"
• On the Smart Label dropdown locate the affected label and hit load
• The label query criteria will load but it will come blank without patches
• At hitting search the patches that apply to the query will load
  
• Modify the "Operating system" filter accordingly, for example if the label had Operating System is Windows 10 but after the Upgrade Changed to "Windows" them put back the correct filter criteria and hit search again, so the correct amount of patches load
  
• Once the smart label query has been redefined, move to the "smart label" tab at the right of advanced search
• Then hit test and save so the patch smart label corrects the patches on it.
  
• Now the patch schedules should run properly.
  

Note: The above workaround will need to be done on each Patching smart label that includes "Operating System" as a filter.
