"LiteSpeed for SQL Server could not open backup file" (4302524)

When trying to restore from a LiteSpeed backup, the following error is thrown:

"LiteSpeed for SQL Server could not open backup file:"

Reviewing the logs, a more detailed error is generated:

"Could not read the drive details for '\\SERVERNAME\P$\': Ensure target exists and available. 10/14/2014 2:03:13 PM 4204:4 [Error] System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: LiteSpeed for SQL Server could not open backup file: (\\SERVERNAME\P$\Backup\ContentDB\path.to.backup.bkp). The previous system message is the reason for the failure."

The RMSP service account is missing LiteSpeed specific permissions.

WORKAROUND:

Execute permissions for the following stored procedures are needed on the SharePoint Back-End SQL servers:

• xp_restore_database
• xp_restore_filelistonly
• xp_restore_headeronly
• xp_restore_setinfo
• xp_sqllitespeed_version
