Kernal panic on OSX when NetVault is installed with a G-Tech eSATA card
The G-Tech eSATA card is really just a HighPoint Technology RocketRAID 2314 eSATA card. HighPoint has their own Mac OS Drivers other
than what G-Tech or Apple installs.
Remove the following .kext extension and install HighPoint's driver for Snow Leopard, from their
website.
The file to be removed from Snow Leopard's .kext extensions is HighPointRR.kext
This is a .kext that is automatically installed as part of the Snow Leopard OS build. The HighPoint driver from their website actually installs a
different .kext - rr2310_00.kext as well as an OS StartupItem and receipt files. Perhaps this startup item helps the bootup process as well.
Removing the standard .kext and install HighPoint's .kext from their website is what fixed the issue.
