It may become necessary to shut down or reboot the KACE Systems Management Appliance (SMA) as part of routine maintenance. Always complete a graceful reboot or shutdown directly from the Administrator or System Console. A hard shutdown or reboot (from the host) can potentially cause database corruption and in some cases file system corruption.
Note: If it is possible that the SMA already experienced a hard shutdown or sudden power loss, please contact technical support and request that we assist with reviewing the box.
Note: The following instructions will reboot the SMA. Please plan for downtime prior to starting the instructions below.
To shutdown the appliance from the console (Kace SMA version 13.0.x or below):
