To fully clean Quest Change Auditor from a server before decommissioning:
Make sure there is another Coordinator up and running.
1. Open the Change Auditor Client and go to View>Statistics>Agent. There should be a Coordinator column. If not, click in the upper left hand column of the grid, and add the Coordinator column.
2. Verify the agents that are connected to the Coordinator to be decommissioned.
3. Go to Programs and Features and uninstall the Coordinator.
4. Once it is uninstalled, check the Agent Statistics tab in the client. Agents should fail over quickly to another Coordinator.
5. In ADSIEdit, under Default Naming, browse to the old Coordinator computer object. Under that computer object, there should be no SCPs visible. If SCPs still exist (they will start with Quest), manually delete them. Replication may have just been taking time to remove.
6. Uninstall any other Quest Change Auditor client, web client, and agent from decommissioned machine.
7. In the registry, check for HKLM\Software\Quest\Change Auditor, and delete the keys if desired. (There is no harm in leaving them intact)
8. Browse to C:\Program Files\Quest\ChangeAuditor and delete the entire folder if desired. There should only be logs in the folder at this point.
9. The machine can now be decommissioned.
