Date is missing when running a report in russian language but when the report is run in English language it works fine.
Cause
The unix/linux servers do not have most of the fonts the Foglight PDF code is set up to look for, and the one it does have presumably does not have any Russian characters.
Resolution
The fonts can be seen on the system by appending wcf-pdf-fonts.jsp to the server url. (e.g. http://machine:port/wcf-pdf-fonts.jsp). It can be tested to check if particular font supports Russin characters by cutting and pasting or entering those characters into the wcf-font.jsp test (invoke the same way as the other jsp test, by appending after the foglight url e.g. http://machine:port/wcf-font.jsp).
The Foglight PDF code looks for the following fonts, in order: Arial, BitstreamVeraSans-Roman, LucidaSans and Helvetica. In this case, only Helvetica is found and it does not contain any Russian characters.
1) Locate and install Arial, BitstreamVeraSans-Roman or LucidaSans on the system after first ensuring the the font contains Russian characters. Foglight looks for fonts in the /usr/lib/X11/fonts and /usr/share/fonts directories on Unix/linux systems.
2) Identify a commonly used font for unix/linux servers that contains Russian characters and modify the Foglight code to use that font for the Russian character set for an upcoming release.
