AD/Exchange dashboards are not populating data, even though the agent is active & green under Agents -> Agent Status dashboard.
Objects are not being populated under Data Management Dashboard as well.
Are you running the Host alias rule to truncate your FQDN to a shortname?
Per KB: https://support.quest.com/SolutionDetail.aspx?id=SOL63871≺=Foglight
If yes, did you check the option for "Stop processing lower priority rules when successful" while creating rule.
"Stop processing lower priority rules when successful" option will ruin the default Host merging logic and results in AD / EXC model update failure under Data Management, which in turn fails to populate the AD/ EXC dashboards.
The DomainController topology object uses the host as its identity key. And host id is hostname.
WORKAROUND:
Please ensure all agents in FMS are stopped when re-creating the rule.
1. Stop all agents
2. Delete the rule alias Remove_Characters_Host_Name_Rule.
3. Create a new host alias rule with " Stop processing lower priority rules when successful" unchecked.
4. Start agents
