Hosts topology object Logical Disk growth rate metrics are not displaying as expected -
Description
Logical Disk metrics like the weekly growth rate and hours to fill are not being populated during a custom dashboard creation using hosts topology. Does IC (Infrastructure Cartridge) collect these metrics? -
Resolution
Weekly Growth Rate and Hours to Fill metrics are collected by the VMware cartridge and not by Infrastructure Cartridge. When a VM (VMware) agent is configured to collect the VM metrics, these topologies are created under the Hosts topology which gives a false indication of IC agent collecting these metrics.
Please ensure these metrics are collected by the VM agent. It can be ensured by navigating to, VMware | VMware Explorer dahsboard | Select the Virtual Machine whose metrics needs to be verified | select Capacity tab under Storage tab. The metrics are displayed on the bottom panel "Virtual Machine Capacity: <VMName>"
