Monitoring SQL Server instances that are using AlwaysOn Availability Groups requires that a monitoring agent is created in Foglight for each of the SQL Server instances that hosts Availability Replicas for the group.
To add the instances, the normal procedure for adding new SQL Server instances to monitoring should be followed.
In addition to manually adding the instances, once one of the Availability Replicas is added; when accessing the AlwaysOn dashboard in Foglight and reviewing the "Availability group map", for replicas that are not currently being monitored an indication will appear near the replica name. Click this indication to launch the instance monitoring wizard for that particular replica.
The SQL Server database agents have its own background mechanism to identify that they are part of an AlwaysOn Availability Group and the Availability Group Listeners will be monitored by the agents; there would be no need to add the AlwaysOn Availability Group Listener as a separate agent.
