Tomcat integration cannot be undone due to error "java.io.IOException: No write permission on file" (4249453)

Tomcat integration cannot be undone due to insufficient permission to the catalina.sh file.

Error Message: Tomcat on on Solaris, Linux, HP-UX, or AIX: CatalinaScripts (TCserver standard):java.io.IOException: No write permission on file: $CATALINA_HOME/bin/catalina.sh

Insufficient permission given to the Foglight Agent Manager (FglAM) user account.

RESOLUTION 1:

Tomcat integration can be removed once there are sufficient permission assigned to the user running the FglAM process. Refer to the documentation for the permission to be granted to the user running the FglAM process: Managing Permissions for the Java EE Integration Agent.

RESOLUTION 2:

1. Restart the FglAM process as root user.
2. Go to the Application Servers | Administration | Application Servers Administration dashboard.
3. Select Java Administration.
4. Select the Integration Configurations tab.
5. Select the Tomcat target and run "Delete and undo integration..." option to remove the Tomcat integration.
