First drilldown using "Investigate" in Query Insights goes to an empty page

The first entry in Query Insights will not pass the correct timeframe when drilling down into SQL using investigate. Subsequent drilldowns work fine without changing anything else.

This does not occur if the user clicks on the timeframe selector before pressing investigate. It can be encountered in any environment where the user preference selected time is not the same as in the browser, for example when the user preference time is set to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).

RESOLUTION 1

Delete the extra sqlid=*** from the URL and the page should load okay

Navigate to Configuration | User Preferences and change the Time Zone radio button from User Time to Server Time
 

Status

This issue has been logged as defect FOG-5822 and will be fixed in an upcoming release of Foglight.

RESOLUTION 3

The FMS was upgraded to a newer release (6.1.0 to 7.1.0) without having any of the databases cartridges also upgraded. An older version of the Global View and SQL Profiler cartridges were enabled in the system. After the system had one of their database cartridges (e.g. SQL Server) upgraded to a matching release or a matching version of the DB_Global_View_UI cartridge installed, the Query Insights page became filled with content.
