Resolution
Workaround
Use Truncate Long Path option in Help|Profile manager|Global variables.
This option would ensure the tool will:
- Truncate the file path according to what was specified.
- Confirm to Office 365 rules on the Target and the file will operate as expected.
Truncate Long Paths (Boolean) – Check the box to enable the option, uncheck the box to disable the option. When option is disabled, errors may occur post migration related to long folder paths and or long folder names.
Max Length Before Overflow (Number, default 200) – This option determines the folder path length that when the folder path lenght is reached, will trigger the overflow logic processing. You may adjust this value, but recommendation is not to increase it to greater than 200.
Overflow Folder Name Length (Number, default 5) – This determines the number of characters (from the first position) that will be used from each source folder name to construct the folder name in the Overflow. Adjust this value with caution to avoid exceeding the 250 character folder name length maximum for OneDrive for Business.
