Description
This resolution is only to be used when you have an issue with the license where it is displaying an error, for all other unlicensing requirements the license should be returned to the server from within Data Modeler using the Help tab and selecting Licensing to open the license page, half way down is a button to return the license -
Resolution
To clear out existing license information in the Data Modeler 2021 releases…
Download the attached “2021R1RemoveLicenseInfo.txt”
Rename the file extension from .txt to .bat: “2021R1RemoveLicenseInfo.bat”
Right Click on the file and select “Run as administrator”
When prompted, enter ‘y’ to delete stored licensing information.
Thereafter all licensing information stored from Data Modeler 2021 is removed.
What does this script do?
Deletes the contents of "C:\Users\%username%\appdata\local\erwinDMLicensing"
Removes the registry entries under: HKCU\Software\erwin\Data Modeler\9.96\Nalpeiron Server
