The reason overlapping font is most likely due to the scaling being set to 250%. Have user drop the scaling to 100% and see if the issue resolves.
Unfortunately for the small fonts, there is no way to change that. As this information comes from the code erwin was designed in. What you can do is tweak around the scaling in Windows control panel and find the right fit.
