How to upgrade DL appliance firmware from the OS -
Description
There are cases, where DL appliance firmware is out of date and it's not possible to boot to the Lifecycle Controller or FTP protocol is blocked. How to upgrade DL appliance components' firmware? -
Resolution
To upgrade DL appliance firmware, please make sure that:
- Core service is stopped
- There's available 9GB of diskspace on any storage, connected to the DL
- It's possible to open ISO diskimage format using either OS (if possible) or any 3rd party tool. For example: ISO Opener
Download and mount or extract Dell SUU ISO: https://www.dell.com/support/article/ca/en/cabsdt1/sln285500/dell-emc-server-update-utility-suu-guide-and-download?lang=en
