Repository disk in DL appliance has an assigned drive letter.
With a standard configuration the DL1000's repository is accessed through a disk mount point on the C drive (C:\DLdisks\DL_REP_00\DL_REP_00) - the actual disk itself is hidden from the OS.
Under circumstances the repository disk can be seen with a drive letter (typically E:) which may conflict with other mappings (such as external drives fro archiving) on the system.
The drive letter can safely be removed by taking the following steps:
1) Open diskmgmt.msc
2) Right click the repository drive and Click 'Change Drive Letter and Paths'
3) Remove the reference to the drive letter - F: in this example
*(NB the path to the mount point needs to remain)
