Description
Older appliances were shipped with Windows Server 2012 and the most recent appliance were shipped with Windows Server 2012 R2. Customers often ask of they can update the operating system on a DL Series Appliance. -
Resolution
You may not change the operating system on a DL Series Appliance. Appliances are configured for the OS they originally shipped with and changing to another OS voids the warranty and support on the appliance. The upgrade path is not a technical issue because it is purely an OEM licensing limitation.
