Groups not syncing with message in logs "Skipping groupdue to invalid email address" -
Description
When syncing groups the groups are not created or synced to the target domain and the following message is shown in the logs:
"Skipping group <distinguishedName> due to invalid email address"

Cause
If the the option to sync Non-Mail objects is not selected in the profile setting then any group that does not have an email address assigned will not be synced -
Resolution
In order to sync groups or users that do not have an email address you will need to update the profile settings:Click on the profile and select ManageGo to Settings and then Organizational UnitsSelect Source and then select the Non-Mail check-boxThis will now include any users or groups that are selected by this profile in future syncs.
