How to transform existing site/list columns into Managed Metadata columns (4337553)

There is a requirement to transform existing SharePoint Site/List columns into Managed Metadata columns.

1. Migrate at the site level. Right-click on the source site and select Copy Site, then right-click on the target and select Paste Site.
2. On the job configuration window, click on the Managed Metadata Options tab.
3. Select "Transform specified site columns to managed metadata columns", then click on the ellipsis button.

   

   Note: Make sure to enable the Advanced Mode on the Settings tab of the Content Matrix Console or on the job configuration window to see all the job configuration options.

4. On the Configure Site Column Transformations window, make sure the site is selected, then click on the "Configure Transformation for a Column" button.
5. Click on the ellipsis button for Site Column, fill out the filter conditions, and then click OK.
   
   
    
6. On the Target section of the Configure Transformation for a Site Column window, select the corresponding Term Store, term Group, Term Set from the drop-down menus.
   
   
    
7. Click OK to close the windows, then run the migration.
