Unable to migrate site navigation (4337479)

When migrating navigation, either as part of a site/site collection or as a stand-alone copy (Paste Site Navigation), no navigation appears on the target. In many cases, no error message is thrown.

This can be caused by a problem with the source SharePoint navigation itself.

Verify the source site navigation is valid. Often in these cases, clicking on the navigation links themselves will reveal that the links are dead and lead to invalid pages that no longer exist, or have incorrect URLs.
