How to apply default values for Managed Metadata columns on target (4323847)

A list/library with Managed Metadata columns is present on the target environment. The columns are unique on the target and are not present on the source environment. The business requirement is to copy the items/documents from the source list/library, but the new Managed Metadata columns have to be filled with default values.

1. Create a list/library on the target (if it does not exist yet).
2. Create Managed Metadata columns, as needed. Below is an example:
   
   
    
3. On the Content Matrix Console, right-click on the source list/library and select Copy List.
4. Right-click on the target list/library and select Paste List Content > All List Items and Folders.
5. On the job configuration window, click on the Managed Metadata Options tab.
6. Enable the "Transform specified columns in lists to managed metadata columns" option, and then click on the ellipsis button.
   
   

   Note: Make sure to enable the Advanced Mode on the Settings tab of the Content Matrix Console or on the job configuration window to see all the job configuration options.

7. Select the list/library, and then click Configure Transformation for a Column.
8. On the Transfer Columns tab, fill in the required information about the source's list and column names, and the target's Term Store, Term Group and Term Set.
9. Enable the "Transform to New or Existing Column" option, then fill in the target's Managed Metadata column information.
   
   
    
10. On the Substitute Source Item Values tab, use the settings below, where "PH" is the desired default Managed Metadata column value:
    
    
     
11. Run the job.

Once the job has completed, the items/documents on the target list/library should have the specified default value like the example below:
