How to use a different Metalogix Extensions Web Service (MEWS) version (4316092)

The Content Matrix Console has been upgraded, but not the Metalogix Extensions Web Service (MEWS) deployed to the SharePoint environment. How can I connect to SharePoint using the old MEWS version?

Note: This is only applicable when using a Metalogix Extensions Web Service (MEWS) version within the same major version. For example, MEWS 9.1.0.1 may be used with Content Matrix Console 9.1.0.4, but MEWS 9.0.0.1 cannot be used with Content Matrix Console 9.1.0.1.

1. Close the Content Matrix Console.
2. Open the WebServiceConfiguration.xml file in the installation folder (e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\Metalogix\Content Matrix Consoles\SharePoint Edition).
3. Change the "WebServiceVersion" value to the Metalogix Extensions Web Service (MEWS) version to be used (e.g. 9.1.0.4 to 9.1.0.1).

4. Save the file, then re-launch the Content Matrix Console.
