Files in "Documents" library migrated to "Shared Documents" library in SharePoint Online -
Description
When migrating two separate libraries named "Documents" and "Shared Documents" to SharePoint Online, content from both libraries is migrated to a library named "Documents" with internal name "Shared Documents".
Expected result:
> Source library "Documents" migrated to target library "Documents"
> Source library "Shared Documents" migrated to target library "Shared Documents"Actual Results:> Source library "Documents" migrated to target library "Shared Documents"> Source library "Shared Documents" migrated to target library "Shared Documents" -
Cause
- This is a known issue. -
Resolution
Our development team is aware of this issue and is working towards a solution in a future release of Content Matrix / Essentials for Office 365.
As a temporary workaround, the following steps may be followed;
a) Migrate the content to a Classic SharePoint Site
b) Migrate the content to a Team Site (No Office 365) SharePoint Site
