Obsolete connection profiles exist. How to manually remove Coordinator SCP objects (4255533)

• When connecting to the Change Auditor Client, there may be multiple Coordinator profiles available.
• In this scenario, the additional Coordinator(s) connection profiles are obsolete.
• For example, the Coordinator was moved or uninstalled and the Service Connection Point (SCP) is no longer valid.

This may occur due to failed uninstall or other unexpected scenarios with replication.

In this scenario, removing the Service Connection Points (SCP) manually is required.

This can be done via the following steps:

1. Open ADSIEdit.msc
2. Locate the Computer Object referenced in the obsolete SCP
3. Expand the Computer Object and delete the two ChangeAuditor SCP entries listed
   • ChangeAuditor.Coordinator
   • ChangeAuditor.Repository

Warning:

Using ADSI Edit snap-in, LDP utility or any other LDAP version 3 client, incorrect modification of the attributes of Active Directory objects can cause serious problems.

These problems may require to reinstall Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange Server or both.

Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems that occur if you incorrectly modify Active Directory object attributes can be solved.

Modify these attributes at your own risk.

Once replication has occurred the Client should no longer display this obsolete entry.
