Using Intelligent Drive Shipping with Archive Shuttle and Microsoft Azure (4301063)

Issue
In some customer environments, there might be a large amount of archive data that needs to be transferred to Office 365. Transferring this data over a network connection to the internet may be prohibitive because of bandwidth availability and usage. Even when using QUADROtech’s HOTS approach, too much bandwidth may still be needed.
This article explains an alternative approach that can be used to move this data.
Solution
Microsoft, using their Azure cloud infrastructure, has a mechanism available where they will import data from encrypted disks which are physically shipped from the source location to an Azure data center. This data is then available in Azure, where an Archive Shuttle ingestion virtual machine can be deployed to ingest the data into a customers Office 365 tenant.
