Subsites and Lists Added to the Scope of a Governance Policy are not Included in Operations

Issue

When a new subsite or list is added to a Governance Policy Manager scope, it is not being included in the policy.

Reason

Whenever a new subsite or list is added to an existing Governance Policy scope, the policy must be re-activated.

Resolution

1Launch the ControlPoint Governance Policy Manager:

§From the SharePoint Hierarchy Farm node, choose Automation > Governance Policy Manager.

OR

§From the Manage ControlPoint panel, choose Governance Policy Manager and Provisioning > Governance Policy Manager.

2Select the Governance Policy that has had new sites and/or lists added to the scope.

3Click [Activate].

If you Cannot Resolve an Issue with a ControlPoint Operation

Contact Quest Support.  Have the contents of the ControlPoint Administration Log (xcAdmin.log) and the Logged Errors Report readily available so that the Technical Support Specialist can better assist you.
