Email on Events Templates - adding images -
Description
In the Admin Guide, under Service Desk setup, Configure email templates, the Optional section on setting Optional HTML settings has an error.
(On pg. 275 of the 13.2 Admin Guide Step 5. The HTML feature was implemented before 13.2. It will work the same in previous versions. 13.2 documentation was noted for 13.2 as this is the current version as of this writing.)
▪ To add images, click , and provide the URL to the image file, a local file path, or simply drop the
image into the indicated area.
▪ You can also copy and paste screen shots directly into the text field.
This refers to Adminui > Service Desk › Configuration › Service Desk Queue Email Settings
Under Email Events, click on the edit icon under Customize Email and check Send as HTML.
Under the editing option is one to add images, when the icon is clicked, the Only option is adding the URL to an image.
This is working as currently designed. Although the other options are available in other sections of the Service Desk setup (ticket comments and knowledge base articles), at this time, on these email templates, ONLY URL is currently supported.
