Managing catalog roles

You can add, delete, and modify catalog roles.

Creating a new catalog role

Open the SQL Server Security module.

Select Catalog Roles, and select Tools | New. Alternatively, right-click Catalog Roles, and choose New.

Deleting catalog roles

Open the SQL Server Security module.

Select a catalog role, and select Tools | Delete. Alternatively, right-click a catalog role, and choose Delete.

Modifying a catalog role

You can modify the description and tasks assigned to the role.
