This video demonstrates the various connection methods you can use in the Toad for Oracle database login window, along with some of the other features available in the window. In addition to demonstrating each connection method, this video describes the Oracle client requirements and some troubleshooting tips, should you encounter a connection error.
The video shows how to connect to an Oracle database using:
Direct Method - hostname, port # and Service name required
TNS - requires a tnsnames.ora file
LDAP - requires an ldap.ora file
