Cluster Database Details view

This embedded view is part of the Exchange Cluster Explorer Summary view, which appears when an Exchange 2010, 2013, or 2016 DAG cluster object is selected in the Exchange Infrastructure view. The details displayed in this view change depending on the mailbox database copy selected in the left-hand pane of the Cluster Database Details view.

This view appears when a DAG cluster is selected under the Clusters container object in the Exchange Infrastructure view on the Exchange Explorer dashboard. It displays the following information and metrics about the databases on the selected DAG cluster.

Name. The list in the left pane of this view displays the names of the mailbox database copies that make up the selected DAG cluster. Selecting a database copy from this list populates the right panes with the corresponding the information and metrics for that database copy.

Active. The following details are displayed for the active database in the selected DAG cluster:

In addition, the following metrics are displayed for the active database in the selected DAG cluster:

I/O DB Reads (Attached) Average Latency. This graph shows the average time it takes to read from the database file.

I/O DB Writes (Attached) Average Latency. This graph shows the average time it takes to write to the database file.

I/O Log Writes Latency. This graph charts the average time, in milliseconds, that it takes to write a log buffer to the active log file. It provides a comparison against the computed average for the selected time interval.

Log Record Stalls/sec. This graph charts the number of log records that cannot be added to the log buffer because the log buffers are full. It provides a comparison against the computed average for the selected time interval.

Log Threads Waiting. This graph charts the number of threads waiting to write their data to the log to complete a database update. It provides a comparison against the computed average for the selected time interval.

Passive. The following details are displayed for the selected passive database copy:

In addition, the following metrics are displayed for the selected passive database copy:

Copy Queue Length. This graph charts the number of transaction log files waiting to be copied to the passive copy log file folder. It provides a comparison against the computed average for the selected time interval.

Replay Queue Length. This graph charts the number of transaction log files waiting to be replayed into the passive copy log file. It provides a comparison against the computed average for the selected time interval.

I/O DB Latency. This graph charts the following metrics over the specified time interval:

I/O DB Reads (Recovery) Latency. Shows the average time it takes to read from the database file.
I/O DB Writes (Recovery) Latency. Shows the average time it takes to write to the database file.

I/O Log Read Latency. This graph charts the average time, in milliseconds, that it takes to read a log buffer from the passive log file. It provides a comparison against the computed average for the selected time interval.
