Currently there are multiple version of PeopleTools (PSTools) 8.4.x installed on the computer. The following error occurs when performing a migration within Stat.
"Error message: finding executable file (Error 3)"

The PS Config file only needs to be used in Stat is if multiple minor versions of the same major version of PeopleTools is being used. For example, PeopleTools 8.12, 8.17, 8.18 and 8.19 are considered to be under Release 8.10, whereas PeopleTools 8.40, 8.43, 8.45, 8.46 and 8.47 are considered to be under Release 8.40. Therefore, when performing a test connection or a migration in Stat, an error is received when finding the executable.
If PeopleTools 8.19 and 8.46 are being used, then there is no need to setup the PS Config file since the two versions are from different major releases as they are maintained as different registry entries. Refer to the attached document, "HOW TO CONFIGURE MULTIPLE RELEASE TOOLS.doc", for steps to configure multiple release tools version using the PS Config file in Stat.
