Get the error 'Invalid Home Name: (Oracle Root)'
Description

Trying to set up the database connection using the connection manager on SQL Optimizer for Oracle, got the Invalid Home Name: (Oracle Root) error.
Cause

This error appears when the Oracle client installed is not detected. The reasons can be any of the following:

1. Oracle client is not installed.
2. Oracle client bitness does not match with SQL Optimizer for Oracle bitness
3. Oracle client installed is not supported by SQL Optimizer for Oracle.
Resolution

Check the Oracle client installation and bitness to match the software installed. Also, try to install a fresh Oracle client. Review the release notes to check system requirements.
