When migrating to Office 365, user's SMTP address domains are overwritten to the O365 domain that was selected on the Exchange Server settings screen in NME. However, in some cases, this default behavior is not desired.
The following NME parameter will alter the default behavior and leave the SMTP addresses intact.
Please follow these instructions to add a custom parameter to NME:
1. Open the NME Migration Console.
2. Click the Edit menu.
3. Select Global Default Settings.
4. Find the [Exchange] heading.
5. Under the [Exchange] heading add a new line:
UseO365Domain=0
6. Close and Save the "notesmigmgr-edit.ini" text file.
7. Close the NME Migration Console.
8. Open the NME Migration Console.
9. Re-run the Export Notes Directory wizard.
The following details can be found in the NME Parameters Reference guide, which can be located in the Documentation directory of the software download, as well as under "View Documentation" at the top of the left pane in NME.
[Exchange]
UseO365Domain=<#>
Determines whether NME's Directory Export Wizard and Notes Migration
Manager will update target addresses for the Office 365 domain (applies only
when migrating to an Office 365 target). The option is controlled by this boolean
parameter:
UseO365Domain=<#>
When migrating to Office 365, the default UseO365Domain=1 tells the Directory
Export Wizard to update target addresses with the new Office 365 domain.
Also, if you change the target type to Office 365 (in NME's Notes Migration
Manager) and then Apply that change, the default UseO365Domain=1 tells
Notes Migration Manager to regenerate the address translation table, to update
target addresses with the new O365 domain. To not update target addresses with
the O365 domain, disable this feature by setting UseO365Domain=0.
