What is the difference between the DC specified when configuring a domain pair and the DC/GC specified on the DSA agent settings?
If no DC/GC is specified on the DSA agent, will the DSA use the DC configured on the domain pair?
The domain controller specified in domain pair setup is used by the QMM console only. This is what is responsible for displaying objects for the migration and synchronization. The preferred DC/GC in Agent Manager dialog is what is used by the DSA agent during the actions. If no DC/GC is specified within agent manager the DSA will use the nearest random DC/GC. It may be changed even in the middle of synchronization as the DSA agent simply queries Active Directory for a domain controller responsible for the domain in question.
If a prefered DC/GC is set, the DSA will fail to look for others if the DC/GC set is not reachable.
