Where can I find the License Number for LiteSpeed for SQL Server? (4333971)

The License Number is displayed as 3 sets of characters separated by dashes and is located at the end of the License Key.

A License Key and License Number would look similar to the example below:

License Key:    XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX-111-22222-YY
License Number:    111-22222-YY

There are three ways you can view the License Number from a LiteSpeed for SQL Server application:


Using LiteSpeed

LiteSpeed can be used to view and register Licenses where LiteSpeed for SQL Server is installed locally on the machine you are using:

1. Open LiteSpeed
2. Click the icon at the left of the Home menu item
3. Click on License
4. The License Number is the last 3 sets of digits separated by dashes (e.g. xxx-xxxxx-xx) at the end of the License Key

Using the LicenseInfoCmd command-line utility

The LicenseInfoCmd command-line utility can be used to view and register Licenses where LiteSpeed for SQL Server is installed locally on the machine you are using:

1.     Open a command prompt
2.     Change the current working directory to the LiteSpeed installation directory (Usually, C:\Program Files\[Custom Directory]\LiteSpeed\SQL Server)
3.     Run the command LicenseInfoCmdx32.exe
4.     The License Number is the last 3 sets of digits separated by dashes (e.g. xxx-xxxxx-xx)

Using xp_sqllitespeed_licenseinfo

The xp_sqllitespeed_licenseinfo stored procedure can be used to view and register Licenses where LiteSpeed for SQL Server is installed on a remote machine:

1.     Open a SQL Management console (e.g. Toad for SQL Server, or Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio)
2.     Connect to the machine where LiteSpeed for SQL Server is installed
3.     Execute the command master.dbo.xp_sqllitespeed_licenseinfo
