Mailbox processing by the ESM fails on specific users. While checking the ESM logs for the particular user, the logs give the error "Application failed with exception code 0xC0000005".
The message class for this particular message is Report.IPM.Note.IPNRN which is a Read-Receipt email message.
The ESM is no longer able to process the remaining messages in this user's mailbox.
Unknown at this time.
Suspected Read-Receipts created with Outlook 2002 and earlier, but unconfirmed.
1) Stop the Archive Manager ESM Service
2) In the Archive Manager Configuration Editor, create a new item:
Exchange Ignore Message Classes
3) Give the new item the value:
Report.IPM.Note.IPNRN
4) Restart the Archive Manager ESM Service
