Should you wish to *REMOVE ALL* current SmartDisk data and configurations, follow the instructions below.
WARNING: THIS WILL DESTROY *ALL* DATA PREVIOUSLY WRITTEN TO SMARTDISK.
If the current SmartDisk instance contains any vRanger Repository data, first *remove* the NVSD Repository from your vRanger, which should get rid of all of the backups stored in that repository.
To wipe all previous SmartDisk data and any previous SmartDisk configuration settings, proceed with the following steps:
1.) Uninstall SmartDisk (add/remove programs for Windows)
2.) Browse your Program Files and remove any remaining SmartDisk install folders
3.) Browse to your previous Stage and Storage folder locations and delete those as well
4.) Remove the previous SmartDisk non-privileged user account from Windows Account Management (Local or Domain).
5.) Reinstall SmartDisk, setting up your Stage and Storage locations, along with the appropriate WebDAV username and password.
6.) For vRanger, go back to vRanger and "Add NVSD Repository" again. For NetVault Backup, go back to the NVBU GUI's Device Management and "Add SmartDisk".
These steps will ensure a entirely new setup for both SmartDisk and the Stage and Storage locations.
