CPU Busy Alarm

CPU Busy Alarm

The CPU Busy alarm occurs when the total CPU utilization of the system exceeds a threshold. The CPU may encounter a large number of requests, or you may have un-tuned SQL, which unnecessarily uses excessive amounts of CPU.

Determine where excessive amounts of CPU are being used.

Find out which processes use the most CPU

Use the server’s operating system tool, such as top on UNIX, or Task Manager on Windows.

Find out if a particular session is using CPU excessively

Use the Top Sessions drilldown.
