Customize the Security Dashboard

Customize the Security Dashboard

You can customize the Security Dashboard to show or hide widgets as needed.

1.
Go to the Security Dashboard.

Log in to the appliance Administrator Console, https://appliance_hostname/admin. Or, if the Show organization menu in admin header option is enabled in the appliance General Settings, select an organization in the drop-down list in the top-right corner of the page next to the login information.

On the left navigation bar, click Security, then click Dashboard.

Hover over the widget, then use any of the following buttons:

: Refresh the information in the widget.
◦
: Display information about the widget.
◦
: Edit the widget.
◦
: Remove the widget.
◦
: Resize the widget.
◦
: Drag the widget to a different position on the page.

The widgets are editable, allowing you to filter the information that they display. To edit an editable widget, click and in the dialog box that appears, select the patch publisher, operating system, label, classification, severity, KB number, and availability date. You can also switch between any chart type that is applicable.
4.
Click the button in the top-right corner of the page to view available widgets.

When you click the icon, the dashboard settings panel displays. You get to see the following options:

Dashboard Settings

You can customize the look and feel of the widgets. For more information, refer Setting a Security Dashboard

Add Widget

You can add a new widget. For more information, refer Adding Widget to Security Dashboard

Email Dashboard

You can share a dashboard snapshot through email. For more information, refer Emailing a Security Dashboard

Force Refresh

You can refresh all the widget data on the dashboard. For more information, refer Refreshing Security Dashboard Data Manually

Setting a Security Dashboard

Setting a Security Dashboard

You can customize the look and feel of the widgets and the dashboards.

You can change the color used in the dashboard charts, edit the dashboard name and its description, change the display of the widgets.

To customize a dashboard,

1.
Click the icon to open the Dashboard Settings panel.
2.
Make changes to the fields as required:

Fields

Description

Name

Add/Edit name for the dashboard. This is displayed on the dashboard.

Description

Add/Edit description of the dashboard. This describes the dashboard.

Choose Your Colors

Click on the color selector to choose your dashboard chart colors. Drag and drop the colors to arrange them in the desired order. The colors at the top of the list will be used first by each chart.

Layout

Chose one of the layout options. The widgets and other elements are displayed in the selected layout.

3.
Click Save.
The changes gets reflected on the dashboard.

You can add widgets to the Dashboard.

There is a list of widgets in the panel. You can enter a keyword in the Search text box to refine the list, then click on your selection.

To add widgets to the dashboard,

1.
Click the icon to open the Add Widget panel.
2.
Search for the desired widget in the following ways:

In the Sort By drop-down, select the widget by title or newest.
◦
In the Search field, enter a keyword to refine the list.
The refined result displays.
3.
Click the desired widget.
The widget gets added to the dashboard.
