UM Subscriber Access Directory view

To display this view, enable the UM Subscriber Access Directory Group in the Unified Messaging Detail section of the Metrics Management dashboard. When this collection group is enabled, this view is added to the Unified Messaging views on the Roles navigation tab in the Exchange Explorer dashboard.

This view displays directory operation metrics for UM subscriber access on the selected Exchange server, which are gathered when the UM Subscriber Access Directory collection group is enabled.

Directory Accessed. This graph charts the number of times subscribers accessed the Main Menu Directory option by using the telephone user interface.

Contacts Accessed. This graph charts the number of times subscribers accessed the Main Menu Contacts option by using the telephone user interface.

Contact Items Heard. This graph charts the number of times authenticated subscribers listened to directory details.

Directory Accessed by Dial by Name. This counter shows the number of directory access operations where the subscriber used the Dial by Name feature.

Directory Accessed by Extension. This counter shows the number of directory access operations in which the user supplied the extension number.

Directory Accessed by Spoken Name. This counter shows the number of directory access operations in which the subscriber spoke a recipient name.

Directory Accessed Successfully by Dial by Name. This counter shows the number of Dial by Number directory access operations that completed successfully on behalf of users.

Directory Accessed Successfully by Spoken Name. This counter shows the number of speech recognition directory access operations that completed successfully on behalf of subscribers.

UM Subscriber Access General view

To display this view, enable the UM Subscriber Access General Group in the Unified Messaging Detail section of the Metrics Management dashboard. When this collection group is enabled, this view is added to the Unified Messaging views on the Roles navigation tab in the Exchange Explorer dashboard.

This view displays general metrics for UM subscriber access on the selected Exchange server, which are gathered when the UM Subscriber General collection group is enabled.

Average Message Size. This graph charts the following metrics over the specified time interval:

Average Recent Sent Voice Message Size. Shows the average size of the last 50 voice messages that were sent.
Average Sent Voice Message Size. Shows the average size of voice messages that were sent.

Average Call Duration. This graph charts the following metrics over the specified time interval:

Average Recent Subscriber Call Duration. Shows the average length of time that subscribers spent logged on to the system for the last 50 subscriber calls.
Average Subscriber Call Duration. Shows the average duration that subscribers spent logged on to the system.

Subscriber Logons. This graph charts the number of successful authentications by UM subscribers since the service was started. It provides a comparison against the computed average for the specified time interval.

Calls Disconnected by Callers During UM Audio Hourglass. This counter shows the numbers of calls in which the caller disconnected while UM was playing the audio hourglass tones.

Calls Disconnected by UM on Irrecoverable External Error. This counter shows the number of calls that have been disconnected after an irrecoverable external error occurred.

Launched Calls. This counter shows the number of subscriber calls that resulted in an outbound call being placed.

Subscriber Authentication Failures. This counter shows the number of authentication failures that have occurred since the service was started.

Subscriber Logon Failures. This counter shows the number of logon failures since the service was started.

UM Subscriber Access Message view

To display this view, enable the UM Subscriber Access Message Group in the Unified Messaging Detail section of the Metrics Management dashboard. When this collection group is enabled, this view is added to the Unified Messaging views on the Roles navigation tab in the Exchange Explorer dashboard.

This view displays message operation metrics for UM subscriber access on the selected Exchange server, which are gathered when the UM Subscriber Access Message collection group is enabled.

Email Messages Heard, Deleted and Queue Accessed. This graph charts the following metrics over the specified time interval:

Email Messages Queue Accessed. Shows the number of times subscribers accessed their email message queue by using the telephone user interface.
Email Messages Deleted. Shows the number of email messages that were deleted by authenticated subscribers.
Email Messages Heard. Shows the number of email messages that were heard by authenticated subscribers.

Forward and Reply Messages Sent. This graph charts the following metrics over the specified time interval:

Forward Messages Sent. Shows the number of messages that have been forwarded by authenticated subscribers.
Reply Messages Sent. Shows the number of replies sent by authenticated subscribers.

Voice Messages Deleted, Heard and Sent. This graph charts the following metrics over the specified time interval:

Voice Messages Deleted. Shows the number of voice messages that were deleted by authenticated subscribers.
Voice Messages Heard. Shows the number of voice messages played to subscribers. This count is incremented as soon as playback starts.
Voice Messages Sent. Shows the number of voice messages that have been sent by authenticated UM subscribers.

Protected Voice Messages Heard. This counter shows the number of protected voice messages played to subscribers.

Protected Voice Messages Sent. This counter shows the number of protected voice messages sent by authenticated UM subscribers.

Voice Message Decryption Errors. This counter shows the total number of times that an attempt to decrypt a protected voice message failed.

Voice Message Protection Failures. This counter shows the total number of interpersonal voice messages for which an attempt to apply protection failed.

Unified Messaging Features view

This embedded view is displayed in Unified Messaging Role Explorer Summary view. The metrics displayed depend on the Unified Messaging feature selected in the Role Features State view.

When Auto Attendant is selected in the Unified Messaging tile, this view displays the following metrics for the server selected in the server list.

Avg. Recent Call Duration. This counter shows the average duration of the most recent calls that interacted with the auto attendant.

Average Call Duration. This graph charts the average length of time that callers interacted with the auto attendant.

% Successful Calls. This counter displays the percent of successful calls processed by this auto attendant during the specified time interval.

Calls Processed By Auto Attendant. This graph charts the following metrics over the specified time interval:

Out Of Hours Calls. Shows the number of calls processed by this auto attendant outside of business hours.
Business Hour Calls. Shows the number of calls processed by this auto attendant during business hours.
Total Calls. Shows the number of calls that have been processed by this auto attendant.

Disconnected Calls. This graph charts the following metrics over the specified time interval:

Calls Disconnected By UM On Irrecoverable Error. Shows the total number of calls that have been disconnected after an irrecoverable external error occurred.
Calls Disconnected Without Input. Shows the number of calls that were dropped without input being offered in response to the auto attendant prompts.

When Call Answering is selected in the Unified Messaging tile, this view displays the following metrics for the server selected in the server list.

Call Answering Voice Messages/sec. This counter shows the number of calls that are being diverted each second to the voice messaging system.

Diverted Calls. This graph charts the following metrics over the specified time interval:

Calls Answered. Shows the number of diverted calls that were answered on behalf of subscribers.
Calls Missed. Shows the number of times a diverted call was dropped without a message being left.

Disconnected Calls. This graph charts the following metrics over the specified time interval:

Calls Disconnected By UM On Irrecoverable Error. Shows the total number of calls that have been disconnected after an irrecoverable external error occurred.
Calls Disconnected By Callers During UM Audio Hourglass. Shows the number of calls in which the caller was disconnected while UM was playing the audio hourglass tones.

Failed Calls Because Transport Unavailable. This graph charts the number of calls that failed because the transport service is not available to submit the message.
