Add New View
To create a Spotlight Enterprise view

Click Monitor | Enterprise View.

Double-click Add New.
- Type a name for the new view.
- Establish the connections you want to see in this view.
- Select the type of connection from the Connections bar to the left.
- Select the connections to add. All servers defined on the Spotlight Diagnostic Server are on the list.

- Click New Server | Add SQL Server.
- Complete the Details page. See "Connection Properties Dialog - Details Page" (page 1) for more information.

- Click New Server | Discover SQL Server instances.

Complete the steps in the wizard.
The Connection Discovery Wizard locates and displays the SQL Servers on the network you may want the Spotlight Diagnostic Server to monitor. You can also import SQL Servers from a file.
New connections are automatically selected in the Select Servers dialog.
Note: The Discovery Wizard locates and displays the SQL Servers on the network that you may want the Spotlight Diagnostic Server to monitor. If the wizard discovers no instances of SQL Servers on the network, one reason may be that the SQL Server components that enable Spotlight to discover those servers have not been installed. See "Install SQL Server Client Tools" in the online help for more information. |
Tips:

To return to the opening view click back on the Navigate ribbon group.

You can cut, copy and paste groups and connections in the customized view. Right click the connection or group and select as appropriate.

To remove a connection from the view right-click the connection and select Delete.

To delete a view, return to the opening view, right click on the view and select Delete View.
