Spotlight on SQL Server 10.0.3 - Getting Started Guide

All Connections View

Each connection in the enterprise is represented in this view.

The color of the connection indicates the highest level alarm that is currently active for the connection. The smaller icon, or lack of, indicates the type of connection.

Collapse groups so that they appear as nodes. See "View Ribbon Group" (page 1) for more information.
Find Connections See "Find Connections and Groups" (page 1) for more information.

View the top five alarms (by severity) on a connection or group

Hover the mouse over the connection or group until the list of alarms appears.
See all connections and groups in the view Right-click in the view and select Fit to screen.
Pan over the view

Click and drag the hand icon.

Open the Spotlight Home Page. Double click on the connection.

Tip: If a connection is not being monitored its corresponding icon displays a .
