Transport Queues view

To display this view, enable the Transport Queues Group in the Transport Detail section of the Metrics Management dashboard. When this collection group is enabled, this view is added to the Edge Transport or Hub Transport views on the Roles navigation tab in the Exchange Explorer dashboard.

This view displays additional metrics for the transport queues on the selected Exchange server, which are gathered when the Transport Queues collection group is enabled.

Active Mailbox Delivery Queue Length. This counter displays the number of messages in the active mailbox queues.

Active Non-SMTP Delivery Queue Length. This counter displays the number of messages in the Drop directory that is used by a Foreign connector.

Retry Non-SMTP Delivery Queue Length. This counter displays the number of messages in a retry state in the non-SMTP gateway delivery queues.

UM Availability view

To display this view, enable the UM Availability Group in the Unified Messaging Detail section of the Metrics Management dashboard. When this collection group is enabled, this view is added to the Unified Messaging views on the Roles navigation tab in the Exchange Explorer dashboard.

This view displays additional metrics for the Unified Messaging availability on the selected Exchange server, which are gathered when the UM Availability collection group is enabled.

Calls Disconnected. This graph charts the following metrics over the specified time interval:

Calls Disconnected by UM on Irrecoverable External Error. Shows the number of calls disconnected after an irrecoverable external error occurred.
Calls Disconnected on Irrecoverable Internal Error. Shows the number of calls that were disconnected after an internal system error occurred.

Calls Disconnected by UM on Irrecoverable External Error/sec. This graph charts the number of calls disconnected after an irrecoverable external error occurred in the last second.

Incomplete Signaling Information. This counter displays the number of calls for which the signaling information was missing or incomplete.

Maximum Calls Allowed. This counter displays the length of time that the server concurrently processed the maximum number of calls allowed.

Name TTSed. This counter displays the number of times the system used Text-to-Speech (TTS) to create an audio version of the display name of a subscriber.

Queued OCS User Event Notifications. This counter displays the number of notifications that have been created and not yet submitted for delivery.

Spoken Name Accessed. This counter displays the number of times the system retrieved the recorded name of a user.

Total Worker Process Call Count. This counter displays the number of calls handled by this UM worker process.

Worker Process Recycled. This counter displays the number of times a new UM worker process has been started.

UM Call Answer General view

To display this view, enable the UM Call Answer General Group in the Unified Messaging Detail section of the Metrics Management dashboard. When this collection group is enabled, this view is added to the Unified Messaging views on the Roles navigation tab in the Exchange Explorer dashboard.

This view displays general call answer performance metrics for the Unified Messaging role on the selected Exchange server, which are gathered when the UM Call Answer General collection group is enabled.

Greetings and Voice Message Size. This graph charts the following metrics over the specified time interval:

Average Greeting Size. Shows the average size of recorded greetings that have been retrieved by the Unified Messaging server.
Average Recent Voice Message Size. Shows the average size of the last 50 voice messages that have been left for subscribers.
Average Voice Message Size. Shows the average size of the voice messages left for subscribers.

Average Time for Answering Rule Evaluations. This graph charts the average time it takes to determine if one or more call answering rules apply to a call answering call. It provides a comparison against the computed average for the specified time interval.

UM Call Answer view

To display this view, enable the UM Call Answer Group in the Unified Messaging Detail section of the Metrics Management dashboard. When this collection group is enabled, this view is added to the Unified Messaging views on the Roles navigation tab in the Exchange Explorer dashboard.

This view displays call answer performance metrics for the Unified Messaging role on the selected Exchange server, which are gathered when the UM Call Answer collection group is enabled.

Call Answering. This graph charts the following metrics over the specified time interval:

Call Answering Calls. Shows the number of diverted calls that were answered on behalf of subscribers.
Call Answering Escapes. Shows the number of times a caller pressed the * key to connect to another user instead of leaving a message.
Call Answering Missed Calls. Shows the number of times a diverted call was dropped without a message being left.
Call Answering Voice Messages. Shows the total number of voice messages that were submitted for delivery because the calls were answered of behalf of subscribers.

Voice Messages/sec. This graph charts the total number of voice messages that were submitted for delivery per second because the calls were answered of behalf of subscribers. It provides a comparison against the computed average for the specified time interval.

Calls Disconnect. This graph charts the following metrics over the specified time interval:

Calls Disconnected by Callers During UM Audio Hourglass. Shows the number of calls during which the caller disconnected while Unified Messaging was playing the audio hourglass tones.
Calls Disconnected by UM on Irrecoverable External Error. Shows the number of calls that have been disconnected after an irrecoverable external error occurred.

Failed Because Transport Unavailable. This counter shows the number of times that attempts to access a Hub Transport server failed.

Calls Without Personal Greeting. This counter shows the number of diverted calls received for subscribers that did not have recorded greeting messages.

Diverted Extension Not Provisioned. This counter shows the number of calls received for which the diverted extension supplied with the call is not a UM subscriber extension.

Fetch Greeting Timed Out. This counter shows the number of diverted calls for which the subscriber’s personal greeting could not be retrieved within the time allowed.

Total Calls to Subscribers With Configured Rules. This graph charts the total calls to subscribers with one or more call answering rules applied. It provides a comparison against the computed average for the specified time interval.

Voice Message Protection. This graph charts the following metrics over the specified time interval:

Call Answering Protected Voice Messages. Shows the total number of protected voice messages that were submitted because calls were answered on behalf of subscribers.
Call Answering Voice Message Protection Failures. Shows the total number of voice messages, submitted because calls were answered on behalf of the subscribers, for which the attempt to apply protection failed.

Number of Call Answering Rule Calls. This graph charts the following metrics over the specified time interval:

Total Number of Call Answering Rules Calls. Shows the total number of calls that fulfill the conditions of at least one call answering rule.

Total Number of Timed Out Call Answering Rule Evaluations. Shows the total number of calls for which call answering rules weren’t applied because the system timed out.
