Upgrade Foglight for vCloud Director

The latest version of Foglight for vCloud Director is 6.0.0.

Foglight for vCloud Director 6.0.0 requires Management Server version 6.0.0 or Foglight Evolve 6.0.0.

To upgrade Foglight for vCloud Director to the latest version:

Download the vCloud-Director-6_0_0.car package from Quest Support Portal.

Navigate to the Cartridge Inventory dashboard, and install the vCloud-Director-6_0_0.car file.

On the Agent Status dashboard, click Deploy Agent Package to deploy the VCloudDirectorAgent package to desired hosts.

On the vCloud Environment dashboard, on the Administration tab, create vCloud Director agent instances, and edit their properties, as required.

Activate the newly created vCloud Director agent instances, and start their data collection.

Upgrade Foglight for NetVault

The latest version of Foglight for NetVault is 6.0.0.

Foglight for NetVault 1.5.0 requires Management Server version 6.0.0 or Foglight Evolve 6.0.0.

To upgrade Foglight for NetVault to the latest version:

Download the following packages from Quest Support Portal:

Foglight for NetVault version 6.0.0 (which includes the vUsage-Feedback-6_0_0.car, DRP-6_0_0.car, and NetVault-6_0_0.car cartridge files)

On the Cartridge Inventory dashboard, install the following cartridge files. Do not remove the older version of these cartridges. Install the new versions over the older versions. The sequence of cartridge installation is important because of their dependencies. For cartridge installation instructions, see “Installing Foglight cartridges” in the Foglight Administration and Configuration Help.

Upgrade the Integration cartridges

Follow the procedure in this section to upgrade an earlier version of an integration cartridge to the latest version. For details, refer to the following topics:

Upgrade Foglight for Integration

The latest version of Foglight for Integration is version 5.9.8.

Foglight for Integration 5.9.8 requires Management Server 5.7.5.8 or later.

To upgrade Foglight for Integration:

Install version 5.9.8 of the cartridge as you would a new Foglight for Integration. Do not delete the older version of the .car file. Install version 5.9.6 over the older version.

Once you have upgraded the cartridge, deploy the agent package. For a procedure describing how to deploy an agent package using the browser interface, see Appendix: Deploying an agent package using the browser interface.
