QoreStor container goes offline when backup job runs; other containers remains online. Job changes to waiting status due to no suitable device. In other cases, issue is reported when retiring expired savesets.
NetVault logs include messages similar to the following:
No suitable device for job X (instance X) - request held in queue
Failed to remove items from device 'Quest Qorestor (DefaultGroup/Container) - 10.1.1.X': 'The device replied that the Netvault server supplied the wrong server identity'
Mismatching server ID for 'NVServer', Local identity '1234567890abcdef1234567890abcdef00000000', stored identity '000000001234567890abcdef1234567890abcdef'
To access the content of a container, the NetVault Server name must match the one initially used to add the data to QoreStor. This errors usually happens when the container is added to a NetVault Server deployment on another location (e.g. DR site) or the application has been re-installed, and the NVDB was partially restored. Although the name of the NetVault Server is the same, the identity number now is different.
This issue is resolved by removing the RDA container from NetVault and re-adding it back. Most likely, it will be required to use the option to force the removal and re-add of the container due to the mismatch identity.
