To restore an Inactive mailbox:
- Select the Backups tab
- Select the backup you want to use to highlight it and click Unpack Backup
- Once the Unpack operation completes select the Unpacked Objects tab
- Select the user that you want to restore the Inactive Mailbox for and click Restore
- If you are restoring a Hybrid user (a user that is syched from an On-Prem Active Directory using Azure AD Connect), select the option "If a hybrid user already exists in Azure Active Directory, delete it before the restore operation". This is required as an Inactive Mailbox cannot be restored if the user object still exists in Azure.
NOTE: If you are using a Hybrid environment (On-Prem AD synched to Azure) and you do not have On Demand Recovery and the Recovery Manager for Active Directory Integration configured, you will see errors when restoring Hybrid users. If you do not plan to integrate RMAD with ODR, or you do not own RMAD, the error message can be set to Information messages:
- Select the Dashboard tab
- Click "CONFIGURE HYBRID CONNECTION"
- Uncheck the option "Show hybrid restore errors if hybrid connection is not configured
- Click Save
