Viewing the Alert Log, the user has 4 databases monitored by Spotlight on Oracle 7.6. All are on the same database. In 3 of the database the configuration and memory / alert log will display the information. The 4ht database gets ORA-20004: Error reading to EOF:ORA-06509: PL/SQL: ICD vector missing for this package
ORA-06512: at "SYSTEM.QUEST_SOO_ALERTTRACE", line 2177
ORA-06512: at line 1 in table ReadOracleFiles.
Resolution 1:
Spotlight on Oracle requires the Oracle client to match the database or version higher than the db. What usually is the reason for your Ora errors is when the Spotlight user account through which the user is connected to the database does not have sysdba privileges. The user SYS must be used rather than SYSTEM to configure the Spotlight user account. Once it is configured please use that created or upgraded Spotlight user account for new connections.
