Cannot connect to DB on TLS 1.2 server (4314150)

Cannot connect to DB on TLS 1.2 server

When server converted to TLS 1.2 we could no longer connect to DB. Downloaded Native Client 11 and made registry changes according to instructions at "TLS 1.2 support for Microsoft SQL Server" Microsoft site but I continually get the "An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host" SQL Server error. I have both versions 6.8.2.9 & 6.5.0.5, both exhibit the same behavior

The  .Net version 4.6 supports TLS 1.2, upgrade to version 4.6 or greater.
