For string arguments entered in a command prompt, NetVault nvsetcreate CLI utility is not interpreting the single quote character (') correctly, and it changes the single quote character (') to a blank space. This is specially problematic when creating backup or restore selection sets that include filenames that uses the character as apostrophe.
> ./nvsetcreate -setname restore_selection -type RS - client nvserver -plugin File System -saveset 39 -include "/mnt/storage/Celebrating Women's Month.docx"Failed to add selection '"/mnt/storage/Celebrating Women s Month.docx"
The issue only occur when the string is entered as a command argument using the command prompt. A viable workaround is to create a parameter file with the string arguments that use single quote and point to the file using the nvsetcreate -parameters switch.
> echo "include /mnt/storage/Celebrating Women's Month.docx" > params.txt> ./nvsetcreate -setname restore_selection -type RS - client nvserver -plugin File System -saveset 39 -parameters params.txt Created set 'restore_selection'
Change request NV-2157 has been issued to correct this problem on a NetVault future release.
