A second Oracle agent cannot be added to a FMS for a different instance running on the same Oracle server due to perceived duplicate monitoring by the Oracle agent installer.
When setting up monitoring for multiple Oracle databases on the same server using the installer, you may see "duplicate monitoring" errors or notice that some database instances are missing in your monitoring tool.
This is specific to the Oracle 8.0.0.12 cartridge.
This occurs because the installer was changes the instance name to `SYS$USERS` during setup. Instead of using the actual Oracle instance name to identify each database, Foglight would use `SYS$USERS` as the name for different databases. Since this name is not unique, the Foglight could not tell the databases apart and treated them as duplicates or only showed one of them.
Possible Workaround
Try using the SID as an alternative to the service name when adding the new database agent. (Note: this workaround is untested.)
